AstraZeneca has discontinued the commercial manufacture and distribution of branded NOLVADEX® (tamoxifen citrate) Tablets in the United States as of June 2006.

Currently there are numerous companies that manufacture generic tamoxifen in the United States. With the wide availability of generic tamoxifen, the discontinuation of NOLVADEX should in no way affect access to this medication.
